(almost) 11 week Appointment

On Wednesday morning, Jesse and I went in for a doctor's appointment to make sure everything was progressing smoothly. This was the appointment that, if all went well, we were going to start tell the world about our good news.

At our last appointment, I was only 7 weeks, so the baby looked like a little kidney bean. A couple days ago when we went in for our appointment, I was just shy of 11 weeks, so we were really excited to see this come up on the ultrasound monitor. It looks like an actual baby now!

Baby measured at 10 weeks 6 days, which moved our due date from October 22nd to October 18th. When I laughed, the baby moved around like crazy, and even waved its foot at us. Baby Takens had good movement, good growth, and a good heartbeat, so that made for some happy parents and grandparents!

Surprise! We're having a baby!

Jesse and I found out on February 13th that we were expecting a little one! We made our parents keep it a secret for a little while, but after a couple good doctor's appointments, we are so excited to share the good news with our family and friends. Baby's due date is October 18th, 2012...a Pumpkin baby!
